Roger Hallam has said nothing radical. He's pointing out obvious truths.
15,000 climate scientists have been warning us for decades of the crisis and now the crisis is clear even to the slowest-witted of skeptics. In all that time, world leaders have failed everywhere—the United States, China, Russia, India, Brazil, and pretty much everywhere else.
When presented with an existential crisis that threatens everyone's children, including their own, they sided with petro-plutocrats.
This isn't ideology. This is reality. Hallam is pointing this out, but nobody needs to read his treatise to know these facts.
His only contribution is that since our leaders have failed catastrophically, WE will need to force the changes. WE will need to put climate scientists in charge of an emergency worldwide crash program to slash C02 emissions and do whatever else is necessary to stabilize the climate and hand over a habitable planet to the next generation.
Again, his ideas are so obvious that his saying them is superfluous. In my view, letting foolish short-sighted leaders with a decades-long record of failure destroy the Earth’s habitability for profit — well, letting that happen is radical.
