Russ, you don't need to dream. And let's not predict how likely or unlikely it is. Let's take action to make it happen.

Our new movement, The Saners, has only a few hundred signed up members, and a few thousand followers on Medium...but we believe we are on the right track.

How many people do you think love their children and want to prevent climate change, and create a better more humane civilization for them to live in? How many recognize that leaders everywhere have failed catastrophically?

I believe there are at least a billion such people. Probably several billion. Those people aren't taking action because they don't know what to do and they feel despair. They've seen that voting doesn't work and that protest doesn't work.

But actually strategic nonviolent noncooperation DOES work. It's the secret of successful movements. It doesn't guarantee success, but it's TWICE as likely to achieve it's aims as violent movements.

Our group is determined to make the best possible effort of the most effective approach to prevent climate collapse and build a more humane and sustainable civilization.

We aren't geniuses, but we've studied history, read the research and learned from them what needs to be done. Unlike other leaders who have individual bills (if that) aimed at some of these problems, WE HAVE A PLAN!
