Saving the world shouldn’t a be a for-profit venture. It’s critically important. Would we have made D Day a for profit thing? And if it weren’t profitable, we’ll let Hitler keep Europe?

No, because that would BE INSANE.

And yet we are making protecting the habitability of the Earth dependent on being profitable.

No, we should have an emergency program—worldwide—led by climate scientists. And whatever they need, we should fund it fully, whether they require wind or solar or nuclear or whatever they determine—as experts—is required.

That would be the sane thing to do. And THAT is our objective.
