Science has limits but is still impressive. But in the hands of politicians and, especially, businessmen—using it to serve THEIR interests...well, science is as likely to be used destructively as constructively.
It IS impressive that our species, with our very limited ape brains, have been able to figure out so much. But what we must stop doing is brutalizing the biosphere and environment of the planet that sustains us.
Yes, climate crisis IS a consequence of our very sick and evil civilization. A civilization that's stupid and clueless about Nature, even though actual scientists understand and deeply respect Nature.
That's why scientists warned us DECADES AGO to slash fossil fuel use and cut CO2 emissions. But preserving our planet so that future generations and OUR OWN CHILDREN might have a chance at a decent life...well, businessmen and politicians don't care about that.
It's up to US to care, to take control, and do what needed to be done.
