Taking a badly needed vacation…
I am going away for a few weeks and will return in mid-September. I hope to come back refreshed. I certainly have a lot of ideas for mobilizing people to fight climate collapse.
Maybe our movement is on the cusp of some serious growth. I don’t know, but I’ll do everything in my power to make that happen.
Thank you — all of you — for listening, for thinking about the climate. Some of you are more involved than others, but I believe many, many more of you will be taking real actions in the physical world soon. Nature is reacting to the years of constant and unrelenting abuse our species has heaped upon Her. She won’t rest in letting us know that this can’t go on. WE won’t ignore Her, even as the failed leaders in business and politics, along with the failed systems that props them up, attempt to continue “business as usual.”
Humans created this problem. Humans can and must fix it. The fixers aren’t gonna be the same people as the destroyers. Nor will we use the same approach.
I’m looking forward to my vacation. But I’m also looking forward to getting back, and to putting my foot down hard on the accelerator for change.
