Cruel people say you aren’t doing enough about issues you care about.
They don’t believe in or care about the collapsing climate — even though this is a deadly threat to their own children.
But YOU care. And you are doing things. You are voting for politicians who support legislation to promote clean energy and discourage fossil fuels. And you are speaking up and speaking out.
But you also own and drive a car. So, the right wingers call you a hypocrite. Have you experienced this?
Now, I don’t care what cruel obnoxious people say or think. It’s not my problem. And as a passionate committed climate activist, I simply keep doing what I can.
I know that my personal behavior won’t make a meaningful difference. All things being equal, it’s better if I don’t drive a car with an internal combustion engine. But it really won’t make a meaningful difference. Most of the climate damage isn’t done by individuals — it’s being done by a few deadly industries, especially oil, gas and coal.
Fossil fuels need to be banned and all energy must come from clean renewable sources. And we should stop producing useless crap, which I suspect is at least 50% of everything produced.
