So, pretty much everybody with power is short-sighting and functionally stupid. That seems to match my observation. But sometime soon, everyone who’s in power—businessmen and politicians—will be exposed as worse than useless and scientists and engineers and people who do actual work and have ability and care about human life WILL be (dangerously belatedly) empowered to try to stop or at least blunt the destruction that our species has unleashed on itself.

It’s a coin flip if we’ll survive. But let’s make the effort, okay?
