Sounds like you are doing a good job. Being friends with MAGA can be hard, and usually not worth the effort, because if they are constantly on the attack it can be exhausting.

I don't have any MAGA friends, but I try to treat everyone with respect as PEOPLE, even if (and when) I criticize or dismiss their views.

But I think it might be good to put the cards on the table.

"I believe that Trump is a rapist, a convicted felon, an insurrectionist, and a racist. I have reasons for all of these views. It seems that you believe I am mistaken. I'd like to think that if you recognized that Trump is a rapist, a convicted felon, and insurrectionist, and a racist, you'd be against him, too."

"I'd like to think that we have a common moral basis and just disagree on the facts. To me, it looks like you are out of touch with reality. To you, I must appear the same way."

"But we like the same movies, sports teams, and pets...so let's be friends!"
