Stop Using the Words “Christian” and “Patriot” Wrong

I never use the term “climate change.” To me, it would be like using the term “ethnic cleansing” to spare the feelings of a genocidal dictator. We are having a climate catastrophe or a climate collapse caused by ongoing climate abuse. We will either sharply reverse course soon or face climate extinction.

I have no patience for the kidnapping of words or concepts. People nowadays use language to push self-serving ideologies or simply push a baseless lie which their favorite guru is promoting. I reject their nonsense and terminology.

Unchristian

I do not believe in the supernatural and cannot therefore call myself religious. But I can read and I know what Jesus teaches in the Bible because, well, I have read the words.

To me, the word “Christian” means someone who tries to follow the teachings of Jesus. It does not refer to anyone who self-identifies as Christian. I can self-identify as a genius or as Napoleon or whatever, but that doesn’t make it so.

If you do not seek to follow the core teachings of Jesus, you are not a Christian. As most people know, Jesus preached by words and deeds: love one another; love your enemies; heal the sick; feed the hungry; be kind to the stranger and foreigner (Good Samaritan.)
