Such a thing seems plausible, but it is pure madness to sit back quietly, make no conscious efforts to address the crisis, and trust the very forces that brought us to the edge of extinction to suddenly reverse course and save us.

I cannot remain quiet. I cannot trust a world where oil profiteers and Wall Street finance governments and policymakers and media to do their bidding. They may or may not be overwhelmed by market forces.

I think it is folly to trust them. I don't and I won't. I am not alone.
