After doing everything in its power to ensure that our children inherit a dead planet, the SCOTUS looks to expand its brutalization of women, ensuring that more pregnant women are denied emergency medical care — and die.

Emergency rooms refused to treat pregnant women, leaving one to miscarry in a lobby restroom
It’s been happening, ever since the repeal of Roe. Women are being turned away from hospitals, being denied emergency medical care — with fully predictable consequences.
Only a few of what is undoubtedly a flood of inhumane incidents have been uncovered, and they are more than horrifying. Pregnant women are being turned away from emergency room at hospitals in (surprise!) Texas and Florida. One miscarried in the lobby restroom. Another woman, returning to the hospital after being turned away the day before, was then told that her fetus had no heartbeat. At another, a woman who was refused care and gave birth in the car in the hospital parking lot. The baby died.
These deaths were planned. The GOP and religious fanatics spent 50 years to ensure that these women suffered and those fetuses and babies died. They have the nerve to call themselves “pro-life.” They celebrated their triumph of cruel and insane misogyny…
