This is what I call a truly pro-life position.
So, I read that people don’t want to give up fossil fuels because tax revenue from oil funds local and state governments. But we MUST get rid of fossil fuels ASAP or face climate collapse — which is essentially destroying the habitability of the Earth before our children can inherit it.
Climate collapse is unacceptable. Period.
So what do we do about lost revenue from fossil fuels? How about we tax the crap out of guns? Didn’t we once have “vice taxes”? What’s a worse vice than slinging an AR-15?
This is another opportunity for people who claim to care about human life to show they mean it. Hey, “representatives” from ANY party — wanna submit and pass a bill? Or do you want the confidence of the public in you and your institutions and laws to drop to zero? Because it’s plummeting fast.
Hey, so-called pro-lifers? Ready to stand up for life? Care about unborn children? Because climate abuse threatens to kill ALL of the unborn children. Let’s see whether you really care about children, or are just full of crap like the politicians.
There is no more pro-life position than taxing gun purchases and gun ownership at the highest possible rate. How about $10,000 per year for every AR-15 you own? Too expensive? What are the lives of people who are mowed down by insane people (that is, people who think they need AR-15s) worth? How about children from elementary schools? I think $10,000 per AR-15 per year of ownership is low. Handguns can be taxed at $5,000 per year each.
I think guns should be expensive and human life shouldn’t be cheap. What’s your view?
