Thank you for this. I’ve seen the book Against Empathy and assumed it was a book suggesting that “greed is good” and our feelings for helping others is bad for capitalism and progress. In other words, I though it was a right wing screed.

But since I respect you, I read this! And yeah, you make a lot of sense! (No surprise there.)

So much of what your wrote resonates with me and takes me further than I’ve gone on my own. I’m gonna get your book.
