We cannot build a peaceful but effective army of activists with long faces and stolid leadership. To preserve life, to expand life, to better the world, we absolutely need to act—in the face of these challenges—with joy, and even humor.

As someone who is seeking to transform the climate movement into something more effective, something that connects people in the course of making the world better...well, this point means a lot to me.
