Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I have considered the points you made some time ago. One or more may be correct. I’m guessing that, as part of a larger strategy, A Climate Declaration is a useful statement to build a movement around.

I do t think of it as “my idea.” It’s simply a viewpoint—right or wrong—that a huge number of people have anxiety and fear about the climate, that they SEE climate collapse happening now, and they believe leaders are doing nothing meaningful about it

It’s the view that millions—perhaps billions—want to protect the habitability of the Earth but don’t know what to do. It suggests that IF they knew how to ensure that real emergency action would be taken, they’d act to make that happen.

I favor a variety of tactics to address the climate emergency. This one was missing, so I am adding it.

I hope something works. It certainly doesn’t need to be “my” idea. I just want a better world for our children.
