Thanks for this article. The dramatic change from Trump to Biden is greatest in their personalities. Trump is a cruel childish narcissist. Biden is a empathetic adult.

I don’t share the same glowing views of Biden’s accomplishments as you do—but under the circumstances, he’s done pretty well. We still have very difficult circumstances and our political/economic system—with ultra-wealthy people and the fossil fuel industry having enough power to doom the Earth itself.

We have work to do, both within and in opposition to the system we are living under. But, as you note, we are not as divided as we were. And we have some breathing space to try—hard—to make things better, especially for future generations.

Right now, the children are leading and the adults are largely failing. But there is some reason for hope. As long as we actually TRY.
