That our "leaders" are incapable of even this low bar of human decency—equal rights—makes my blood boil.

In fact, it invalidates the legitimacy of these authorities. Nobody, NOBODY can legitimately rule that someone else—much less more than half the species—has less rights than others.

Of course, these are the same immoral thugs who simply ignore "Congress declares war" and sends young people to die for no reason. Honestly, every soldier should turn his/her/their weapons on the people who send them to war. Anywhere and everywhere.
