The best guess is 26,000. I like to say under 30,000. Depending on whether there's a fracking boom or bust, the numbers vary widely. But they are NEVER anywhere near the 200,000+.

It's probably also worth noting that fracking is a very expensive way to get oil and would never be profitable without generous subsidies by taxpayers. I cannot ever recall being asked by politicians if I wanted my money to be handed over to Big Oil, but they do it anyway.
