We need benevolent, humane and sane values and our systems must be built on those values. Anything that threatens or violates good values must be ditched.
We’ve been lied to and we’ve bought those lies. And the lies are about values. The short version is: we are bad, people are bad, and that’s just the way it is and we can’t do anything about it.
This pre-fabricated conclusion is “confirmed” by “facts.” But the reasoning is deeply flawed.
Yes, there is war and violence and hatred and cruelty. But that’s not all there is, and to ignore the rest is self-deception. This becomes even more pronounced when you look within yourself.
How evil are YOU?
Yes, you’ve done things you regret. You have some bad habits that you just can’t shake. You make mistakes. You get angry and misbehave. But to characterize yourself as evil would be simply false. You have many facets and for the most part, in fact, you are probably kind of nice.
Most people are. You must wake up to this. This is very, very important to notice and to understand. You aren’t the rare generally kind person in a world of unrelenting evil.
In fact, there’s a kind of banality of kindness. It’s so common that it is invisible.
