The fact that the issue you highlight was the border suggest you aren’t what’s generally considered a liberal.

Liberals recognize that immigrants—legal or illegal—are simply human beings like those of us who are citizens. We aren’t afraid of them, and we have compassion for people wherever they come from.

If you care about the Earth and your children (whatever you party or whether you are liberal or conservative), you should vote for Harris who is stronger on the climate than Biden (who okayed new drilling in vast stretches of Alaskan wilderness). Harris opposes fracking and has spoken out for the climate more forcefully than most politicians. Meanwhile, Trump’s literally insane position is “drill, drill, drill.”

Trump and his party is actively stripping women of their reproductive rights and intend to go much further. If you are a man who loves you wife and daughter, and respects women, you must reject the candidate and party that brags about repealing Roe and is now targeting birth control. (If you don’t care about the well being of women, you aren’t much of a man.)

And, as far as seeing the candidate before, I was in NYC in the 1980s and everyone knew (and knows) that Trump, the short-fingered vulgarian, was and remains a swindler and a fraud. That’s why he has never been respected in NYC. We knew all about him from day one.

Trump won zero elections is New York. Harris did much better in California even if you don’t like her.

By the way, our group—The Saners—listen to the scientists and not politicians when it comes to the climate. We will do battle with President Harris if and when she falls short on that issue. But she’s already a thousand times better than Trump.
