Which side are YOU on?
It takes a perverse kind of double-think to simultaneously justify and deny the war against children. We have people literally gunning for our children — and we are willfully helping to arm them. People who facilitate the acquisition of mass murder weapons, making it easy for angry, paranoid or suicidal people to get guns, deny this makes murder more common. They deny that deadlier weapons designed to kill as many as possible as easily as possible makes these mass murders deadlier.
They deny reality. And we actually DEBATE them as if they had a point!
Meanwhile, climate scientists are warning us that what IS already happening in front of our eyes, IS in fact happening and will get much, much worse if we don’t reverse course and stop burning fossil fuels. Yet, we continue to INCREASE the burning of fossil fuels and act surprised at every expected deadly climate event.
You can, of course, rationalize anything. You can make excuses for anything. We can pretend reality isn’t real. But reality IS real and the consequences are unavoidable. Stick your head in a pothole in the middle of the highway and the Mack truck will pulverize you — whether you see it coming or not.
You shouldn’t act surprised.
