On ignoring the propaganda of planet abusers and speaking our truth repeatedly and forcefully.
So, I see in today’s New York Times, there’s a full page article about a North Korean defector and how she’s now a hero of the right wing. I won’t read the article, or look up her name, or see how right wingers are using this defector’s voice to promote their unholy cause.
First of all, I don’t care. Why should I? Second, repeating destructive ideas and positions — even to refute them — helps the destruction. It enhances credibility and spreads the message of evil, cruelty and lies.
We are drowning in this ridiculous propaganda while the astoundingly urgent climate collapse is treated as just another controversial issue — and defenders of a habitable planet are often portrayed as dangerous extremists.
People who put paint on the protective glass covering paintings in museums are met with outrage. Alleged climate activists “worry” that these “extremists” are damaging the cause.
Those protesters aren’t even damaging paintings, much less the cause. The media and commentators either willfully or ignorantly give the impression that great artworks are being destroyed.
