What should activists do? What should they NOT do?
We have a movement focused on the objective of protecting the ecosystems from collapse, and replacing cruel unsustainable systems with humane, Nature-friendly ones. This movement is The Saners.
Saners are the catalysts for and guardians of the necessary changes to save humanity and protect Nature from climate collapse. They are learning to be experts at initiating and protecting change. But they are NOT technical experts on science, or climate, or economics or anything else. Many of us are knowledgeable amateurs.
But climate scientists are experts on climate science. Engineers are experts in engineering. We have discovered that, as a group, businessmen and politicians are experts at protecting their own wealth and power, and have been largely proponents of climate collapse. THEY have nothing to contribute to fixing the crisis, except perhaps as an example of what NOT to do.
Division of Roles
I have opinions about what would be good steps to be included in the Climate Emergency Program. I intend to share them. BUT, I see them as the ideas and opinions of a non-expert. They may (or may not) still be useful. But they do not represent a high level of knowledge or expertise.
