The Real Reason the Shootings Never End Is Our Leaders Don’t Fucking Care.
How about we tell our leaders — all of them — that we know they actually support school shootings and nightclub shootings and subway shootings and mass murder in general? They take money and repeat talking points handed to them by the NRA. Literally. We keep having so many ever-bloodier mass murders because our leaders don’t care.
This will be a quick review of the excuses we’ve heard again and again from “leaders” year after year for their willful expansion of the “rights” of mass murderers to commit mass murder.
- We need more Jesus.
Texas Governor Greg (“Blood on his Hands”) Abbott loves this one. For unknown reasons, he’s had the nerve to deploy this excuse right before subsequently passing laws ensuring bigger (and more) future mass murderers. Greg said: “The problem is not guns, it’s hearts without God.”
No, Greg. The problem is YOU. For every killing, there is a second gunman, a supplier. That supplier is YOU. After the Santa Fe massacre, you called for a commission to study gun violence, then only two weeks later you spoke to the NRA blaming gun violence on not enough Christianity. Then YOU signed into law the bill which allowed Texans to carry guns without licenses or training. Literally any homicidal idiot — even someone as cruel and stupid as YOU — can legally carry a loaded gun into an elementary school in Texas.
But this lame excuse isn’t used by just this one guy. It’s used by fake Christians everywhere. I say fake Christians because Jesus never said a word about guns, just as He never said a word about abortion. He said “love one another” and told us NOT to kill. Meanwhile, fake Christians fervently promote guns and violence and murder and mayhem, all in His name. Obviously, these fake Christians don’t have God in their hearts. They are Satan’s army here on Earth. Greg Abbott is a general.
2. Guns don’t kill people.
Guns facilitate murder. To kill one person, or a thousand, all you need to do is crook your index finger on a trigger. Small children can kill 100 able bodied men. Easily. That is exactly what guns do and what they are designed for.
