The responses to the crisis have been woefully insufficient year after year. Here’s the thing: we can try to keep up with the energy “demand”—which is simply the amount of energy people WANT—or we can decide to limit people to what they NEED—and make an honest effort to ensure that our children inherit an inhabitable planet.

Only spoiled children—not responsible adults—“DEMAND” that they get everything they WANT. It’s well past time we learn to be responsible adults. This goes double for our leaders.
