The safeguards for democracy have failed at every turn. Our institutions are weak and impotent when we need them. They will never save us from fascism.

WE can (and I believe will) do that in November. Media, pundits and polls are all wrong and have overlooked the signs of a massive backlash against the misogynist and violent MAGA GOP. But women everywhere are hopping mad, and they are the majority in every one of the 50 states, and they are a much bigger group than “swing voters” or 3rd party voters or any other segment that’s been getting undue attention.

That special election in Alabama, with a Democrat running on women’s reproductive rights and trouncing the GOP candidate by 20+ points is A BELLWETHER, not a fluke.

We also saw an expected Red Wave in 2022 evaporate. And Red States like Kansas are seeing ballot initiatives to protect women’s reproductive rights. There are many, many signs that inside voting booths, in even the reddest states, women are sick of the abuse and they will let people know in November.

I intend to encourage everyone to vote for all the Democrats—and I’m not really a fan of the Democrats. But would you support the rise of Hitler because the Weimer Republic was weak?

There is an absolutely necessary Democratic wave coming in November—but we need to ensure it, each of us, by voting and encouraging everyone we know, along with strangers, to make it happen. We can crush MAGA by double digits (if it can happen in ALABAMA, it can happen anywhere)!

This wave may be so powerful that we may see some surprises even in state legislatures, despite massive gerrymandering.
