There Are NO Originalists on the Supreme Court

In repealing Roe, the so-called “originalists” violate their own bedrock principle, exercising a power NOT granted to them in the Constitution.

The right wing “Justices” (sic) on the Supreme Court are all products of the Federalist Society, an ideological group set up in 1982 to promote “textualism” and “originalism” as the judicial approach to interpreting the Constitution. In other words, “originalism” is a fairly new idea, vigorously and successfully promoted by ideologues to achieve their self-interested objectives. For obvious reasons, the Federalist Society is heavily funded by wealthy right-wing billionaires (via their foundations) including The Koch Family Foundation, The Scaife Foundation and the John M. Olin Foundation.

Two thirds of today’s Supreme Court are current or former members of the Federalist Society: Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Thomas, Roberts, Alito and Barrett.

This group and its philosophy is perhaps reaching its greatest success now by, in actual effect, criminalizing a woman’s right to choose, even in cases of rape, incest or the woman is in danger of losing her life due to pregnancy complications.
