There IS a climate crisis. It's real, it's urgent and we need to actually DO SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT or kiss our children goodbye. We know it's real because scientists—people who actually know things (unlike pundits, politicians or ideologues)—have spent years figuring it out.
Also, as of these last few weeks, we see it happening with our own eyes.
I agree that politicians are useless, but not because they have big carbon footprints. We cannot possible fix a global problem at the individual level. We must do it at the energy production level. People will use whatever energy made available to them, whether it's petroleum or the sun.
In any case, the hypocrisy of politicians is irrelevant. We must fix the problem.
