There is a single key to fixing things: humanize everyone. No exceptions.
We should be able to do this without even enumerating various people as groups. There is only one group of human beings and they (we) are all simply humans first, and individuals second, and we identify with (usually multiple) other sub-groups, like say ornithologists. Would you hate people for watching birds? No? That would be absurd?
So are pretty much every other judgement vilifying people. Yes, we should oppose all cruelty, stop destructive behavior. But it's best to do that out of love and not hate.
How about we choose kindness and sanity?
