There is textbook capitalism and there is actual capitalism. Here in the real world, disaster capitalism is reality. So is capitalism that destroys the planet to make more profit from fossil fuels. So is capitalism that ships millions of jobs to low wage countries. So is capitalism that buys politicians and policies and shreds the already pathetic safety net for working people.

None of this is secret or even profound. It’s everyday life in America.
