There is too little imagination going on, in part because the ultra-wealthy oil profiteers and the politicians they own don't want any change whatsoever.

But we can and should STOP PRODUCING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT IS NON-ESSENTIAL RIGHT NOW. How much shiny useless, or even dangerous, commodified crap is being produced? Is it 50% of everything? 80% of everything? We don't need to get more efficient at producing CRAP; we need to stop producing it.

And that would make it easy as hell to quickly slash fossil fuel use. Perhaps not enough (yet) but the first serious cut ever. This could happen quickly IF WE TREATED THE CLIMATE CRISIS AS A CRISIS.

No more obedience to the stupid status quo. No more defeatism. Let's take the microphone, demand real meaningful action NOW, and NOT take "no" for an answer. Let's get going, guided by climate scientists—people who KNOW THINGS.
