There will be a terrible event, a climate disaster caused by the willful abuse of the Earth by wealthy oil profiteers, that will dwarf every terrible climate event that preceded it.

I don’t know what it will be. Or when. It could easily be tomorrow. Or two years from now.

But the climate of our planet has been badly knocked out of balance with a cascading avalanche of unprecedented conditions and unpredictable events.

THAT will be the other shoe dropping. We were warned 35 years ago to slash fossil fuels and CO2 emissions. Our leaders—all authorities in every country and especially in the fossil fuel industry and on Wall Street—failed catastrophically to protect the planet that sustains us.

We are in a deep and dangerous hole. The fools who got us here will finish us off. IF WE LET THEM.
