Guys are friggin’ nuts. But it reminds me of an astronaut, Anna Fisher. She was part of the astronaut group of 1978—the first one with women. Most of this group weren’t pilots—most were scientists…including Fisher.
Nearly all of them started out insecure but after a year they all had that astronaut swagger. Some astronauts were visiting Boeing and Anna asked if she could take up one of their jetliners for a spin. They the Boeing execs said sure!
Anna had been given some pilot training by NASA but still didn’t have all that much flying time. She was a scientist—not a pilot!
But she did everything right, including a perfect landing. When the execs were told later that Anna was a SCIENTIST astronaut, not a PILOT astronaut, they kinda freaked out.
Anna was (and is) amazing! Look her up! She was also the first mom in space.
