This is kind of a stew man attack on atheism which is not an ideology but merely a disbelief in any god or gods.

Saying bad things about, say Sam Harris, as if his other views have any bearing on atheism is nonsense.

It would be like attacking some money grubbing televangelist and pretending that refutes Jesus.
