This is ridiculous. I’m grateful to anyone and everyone who is making a concerted effort to rescue the climate from greedy short-sighted profiteering morons.

And I don’t care if sometimes they make strategic mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s up to the critiques to also DO SOMETHING. And if they are, in fact, wiser—then they ought to DO SOMETHING STRATEGICALLY BETTER.

Just bitching at actual climate activists is counter productive—especially when you (and we) should be keeping an uncomfortable spotlight on the villains who are destroying our children’s lives: BP, Shell, Chevron, Koch, Manchin, Goldman Sachs, Jamie Dimon, and the rest.

BTW—who is prohibiting non-middle class and nonwhite people from being climate activists? The answer is: nobody.

In fact, there are many people of color and poorer people doing great things. I know, for example, black female kids who are doing great work with The Sunrise Movement.

Just because the media ignore some people, it doesn’t mean they are doing things.
