This is some very impressive and original thinking. I favor any approach that might work to save our children and future generations.

I have a different approach—I want to remove the 1 percent from all positions of power and authority and replace them with young climate leaders—including children—from around the world.

Only young people have the standing—THEY will suffer the full consequences of the failure of the 1 percent. Only they have the moral authority, intelligence, and maturity to take charge of this problem. Only they, assisted by climate scientists and engineers, have the ability.

I believe you should approach 1 percenters with your idea. In the past, I’ve written the surviving Koch brother urging him to reverse course to avoid the inevitable loathing from his grandchildren. I think we underestimate the role of psychology among the elite and overestimate both their intelligence and competence.

The Koch brothers are ENGINEERS who have understood from the beginning that they are destroying their children’s planet. The surviving one is old enough to realize that more profits are of no use to him.

In any case, I love the way you think. Our way out of this is imagination and action. You show rare and impressive imagination.
