This may or may not be a conspiracy by Big Oil. I think it's no secret at all—they use their political pull (that is, money) to buy protection from governments around the world. Sometimes, they don't even need to pay: many politicians are true believers in oil and not in life.
In any case, the climate crisis isn't something Big Oil will be able to take advantage of. It will kill them along with everyone else. They are monumentally stupid. But greed and ideology does that to people.
how about some SANITY instead?
