Trying to persuade leaders is a wasted effort. They themselves are cogs within existing systems. A Big Oil CEO can't shut down Big Oil. He would be replaced if he tried to do so. And political leaders take money from Big Oil.

These people believe they are being pragmatic and realistic. All movements and efforts designed to persuade them are futile.

We have a better way. We need to disempower destructive systems through nonviolent noncooperation. This is a proven approach with a record of success.

This IS a polycrisis. The problems ARE interconnected. WE are obeying fools, literally wasting our lives producing mostly unnecessary crap to serve undeserving elites—while simultaneously ruining the Earth.

We can and must stop. There is a way. Our movement, The Saners, is still new and small. But we are in more than 20 countries and growing.
