UBI is potentially very useful. It's unlikely to be enacted because it's antithetical to the coercive nature of petro-plutocracy. The wealthy people and the plutocractic system itself requires desperate workers—people who will DIE if they don't serve the system by providing their labor cheap, and spending their limited funds to consume the crap that makes money for the few people up top.
In any case, the UBI would only be a start, because petro-capitalism is well on it's way to completing ecocide—destroying itself and all of the rest of us that live on this abused planet.
Why not oust the fools who are destroying our home instead of letting them commit the most unspeakable crime in history?
