Wait! Whatever the United States and the West wants, Russia DID invade Ukraine. And Ukrainians are fighting in their own homeland to repel invaders. Maybe Ukraine doesn't have a fully laudable government. How does Putin's Russia rate? In what case is it wrong for Ukrainians to attack invading Russians?
And what would a negotiation with Russia achieve? Reward Putin for mass-murder by handing him part or all of the nation he destroyed?
The United States government and other Western governments may have less than laudable motives. But I see no case for covering the stink of Putin's childish bloody self-centered tantrums with flowers.
And the people of Ukraine—along with the Russian soldiers drafted by Putin and sentenced to a senseless death—are the victims.
