People are angry and fearful and they want revenge. They are okay with, or even rejoice, when perceived enemies are killed. They are like heroin addicts, never feeling good but always seeking the next high, the next fix, the next step closer to death.
By killing each other, we are killing ourselves. We are monumentally stupid. Emotion is doing this to us. Yes, I understand why people are angry. I understand why they are afraid. But if they act emotionally on their worst instincts, we are all dead. And the planet is dead. And our children may survive, but only barely and their lives will be dismal.
And that will be our fault.
We are committed to a battle to the death, when we need to be committed to life.
