We Can Choose to Live As Responsible Adults or Die Like Spoiled Children
And so far, the most active and visible responsible adults are, ironically, actual children.
It’s astounding what has been described as “liberty.” We are told that our liberty depends on being able to do whatever we want, without any interference or opposition. Provided that what we want is “the right things.”
Our liberty requires us to be able to easily get guns of any kind no matter who we are without any difficulty. We can be people who have committed violent acts or are threatening to kill our ex-spouse. We can be blind. We can be ruthlessly violent. Guns are a fundamental right. And what about those who were killed with loaded guns that someone left out? Children? Parents shot by toddlers? Too bad.
Our liberty requires us to ignore, deny and spread disease. In the middle of a deadly virus outbreak, our liberty requires us to downplay the virus, and portray the vaccine as a deadly conspiracy. We want to stop vaccines, stop the wearing of masks, and promote our freedom, our liberty to kill — whether with guns or disease.
And we want the liberty to make the world, and make the people of the world, behave in private as we want them to. Liberty requires our right to control and repress the sexuality of others, especially women and non-binary…
