The issue is more fundamental than parties.

We have been punting on climate catastrophe for decades. By WE, I don’t mean the American people because politicians and policymakers don’t listen to voters.

They listen to ultra wealthy people who bribe them. To K Street.

We all know this yet act as if it isn’t the overarching truth that, among other things, is speeding our species to extinction.

Senators and congressmen pick up the phone when the CEO of Exxon of Shell calls (or one of their lackeys). They pass the bills these rich people want.

They are destroying the climate and ending civilization for profit.

They are so hypnotized by their owner they think they can escape the wildfire, storms and heatwaves. And coming water and food shortages.

They’re stupid and wrong and if we don’t stop them, they will reduce their their own children to a desperate terrifying existence. If they survive at all.
