We must end fossil fuels at PRODUCTION. People will use the energy made available to them. They are NOT addicted to oil. They'd use energry produced by solar, wind, geothermal, whatever—IF that was made available to them.
They are being sold oil so that's what they use.
Our leaders worldwide are catastrophic failures. Pretty much ALL of them. Not one has declaraed a climate emergency and taken the necessary measures identified by climate scientists. Not one has done the minimum we should demand of any leader—preserving the habitability of the planet for future generations.
WE can and must take control. Or kiss our planet and our children goodbye.
