We need every possible form of activism from the maximum number of people. We need protest, disruption and sabotage to become the new normal. Because no leaders under any existing system will ever help us. Yes, there are plutocrats, but there are also various dictators and thugs who owe their wealth and power to oil—in the Middle East and elsewhere.
We are both mistaken and strategically foolish to make this ideological because doing so reduces the chances of success.
The United States is at fault. But so is China, Russia, India, the EU. Pretty close to every country on Earth is complicit. (I thinking that maybe Iceland and New Zealand have made reasonable efforts—probably the only exceptions. But this doesn't really matter.)
Failure of both business and political leaders and institution and systems is pretty near UNANIMOUS.
WE need to take control, implement policies devised by competent and honest climate scientists and GIVE YOUNG PEOPLE the leading roles in restoring the health of THEIR planet.
