We need multiple approaches. We have started too late. While the criticisms of Just Stop Oil may or may not be justified, it’s motivated by the fact that weaker and more traditional methods have failed…and the climate collapse is happening NOW, not some mythical future date.

Peaceful protest and engagement have failed consistently for decades. That’s precisely why Just Stop Oil is trying something different.

I think we need to disempower authorities, disobey them, ridicule them and undermine any system, idea or plan that allows them continue.

Just Stop Oil is spot on with its message. Maybe they need to destroy oil wells, refineries, pipelines. That would be the equivalent of bombing the train tracks to Auschwitz—which the Allies should have done.
