We probably disagree on many, many things and I love what you’ve written here. People are too quick to attack and label others. And, although I’m on the left (albeit my own version of that), right now the left is (in my view) bring most aggressive about it.

There is a lot of anger and fear…which is understandable in these difficult times…but we should stop assuming that everyone who disagrees with us has evil intent.

In fact, my experience is that most people have benevolent intent. Anger brings out the worse in most people. (I know it does in me.)

Let’s all count to ten, and learn some empathy. We all have to live together on the same planet. We can do better.

I think something that might provide some comfort—remember that angry people are the loudest. And even those people are probably nicer when they’re not angry. Good is quiet—but it’s out there in very large numbers.
