We should do the correct thing BECAUSE it is correct. Kindness is both the means and the end. What others do? That is for them to decide. It’s their souls and their humanity at stake. They can choose to waste their one short life on hatred and violence and greed and cruelty and stupidity. Or they can honor and value life.

I can hope they make a good choice. But I am focusing on improving myself, not others.
