What To Do With the Failed Leaders Who Are Destroying the Earth

I’ve been thinking that to save the Earth, one thing we must do is remove the leaders and systems that continue to support fossil fuels at the expense of our children’s future.
I also think our motivation should be love — not hate or revenge, even though those emotions are understandable and perhaps justifiable. But I think love is a more appropriate and more effective driver of action. It has the best chance of working. Most important, it’s morally the better way. We want to prevent climate collapse and restore the Earth because we love our children and our planet.
So, what should we do with the failed leaders — those who would have killed us all for profit or ideology or simply out of incompetence? I would argue, we should save them and their children from climate collapse by reversing their policies and doing everything possible ASAP to fix things.
That’ll teach them. That’ll teach them that good can conquer evil without emulating evil.
I don’t believe that punishment works as a deterrent and although revenge is tempting, ultimately it is a counter-productive…
