And wouldn’t it be horrible to throw away our last chance to save humanity, to not even try because we, personally, are pessimistic?

It’s pretty damn certain that if we give up now, it’s over. I am never giving up. The Saners intend to do what pessimists (but few climate scientists) believe is impossible.
